About the Role

SpaceX is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join the Security department to help protect and drive the SpaceX mission. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining technology solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and processes across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

→Design, build, and maintain technology solutions and systems that provide security for SpaceX systems, networks, and data.
→Develop and maintain scripts and automation that support the information security mission across SpaceX.
→Implement network security systems and backend infrastructure.
→Implement application-level security controls, such as web application firewalls.
→Serve as the subject matter expert for security solutions, maintaining documentation and advising others.
→Work with security and IT teams to identify threats and problem areas, and strengthen tools and technologies.
→Create scalable, repeatable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
→Collaborate with various teams, including information security, physical security, information technology, human resources, legal, and software teams.

Requirements

✓Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
✓5+ years of experience with Python, GO, C#, or Rust.
✓5+ years of experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise/large-scale infrastructure.
