About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join Spotify's team building Data Experience for Backstage Portal, the enterprise internal developer portal product. This role focuses on breaking down data silos by developing connectors, APIs, and UIs that integrate dataset metadata into the software catalog, making data discoverable and well-documented for enterprise customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop Backstage powered UIs with TypeScript and React, and build Node.js backend services for dataset discovery and metadata management
- →Build and maintain connectors that sync datasets and metadata from data warehouses and transformation tools into the Data Registry
- →Partner with Portal customers, data platform teams, data owners, and data consumers to identify pain points and gather requirements
- →Lead projects from ideation and design through deployment, monitoring, and customer support
Requirements
- ✓Demonstrated ability with TypeScript and React to craft intuitive interfaces
- ✓Experience building backend services and APIs with Node.js delivering scalable systems
- ✓Passion about data platforms and integrations, eager to work with data warehouse APIs
- ✓Experience with full-cycle product development from customer research to coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support
