About the Role
We are looking for an ML Engineering Manager to join Spotify's Personalization team. This role involves leading a squad of engineers to build innovative AI-driven experiences that help millions of users discover audio content. You will shape the future of Spotify's agentic reasoning and orchestration tech stack.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead a team of ML, backend, and data engineers to build and launch AI-driven personalized experiences
- →Align technical strategies with senior leaders and translate them to your squad
- →Guide architectural vision and day-to-day ML modeling and coding decisions
- →Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development in cross-functional teams
- →Champion AI-assisted coding practices and expand the team's technical capabilities
- →Foster research partnerships to scale solutions from experimentation to production
- →Develop team talent through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative culture
Requirements
- ✓Experience leading delivery of consumer-facing ML products at scale
- ✓Energized by rapid change, ambiguity, and opportunity with a track record of transforming ideas into products
- ✓Excited but not overhyped by Generative AI and agent technologies
- ✓Comfortable providing detailed technical direction and resolving complex engineering challenges
- ✓Thrive when developing great people and meaningful products
- ✓Experience cultivating a strong engineering culture in an agile environment
- ✓Experience in people management with humility to realize areas for growth
