About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to join Standard Bots, a company focused on lowering the barrier to entry for real-world automation. This role will serve as a technical force multiplier across the organization, tackling complex engineering challenges and driving cross-cutting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the long-term technical vision and strategy for major platform components
- →Design and champion new system architectures focusing on clear interfaces and domain decoupling
- →Lead complex, ambiguous, and high-risk technical programs requiring coordination across multiple teams
- →Deliver technically deep, cross-cutting software solutions with a full-stack perspective
- →Drive deep-dive root cause analyses for critical production issues
- →Mentor and coach Senior and Mid-Level engineers across the organization
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- ✓Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects spanning multiple engineering teams
- ✓At least 1 year of experience as a staff engineer in a large software organization
- ✓Deep expertise in architecting, developing, and operating distributed systems
- ✓Proven ability to influence technical direction without direct authority
- ✓Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Fluency in core stack (React, Typescript, Node.js, Python, C++, Kubernetes)
