About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Healthcare Platform team at Statista. This role involves owning data ingestion and platform reliability end-to-end, designing and operating scalable batch/streaming pipelines, and ensuring data quality, security, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and optimize ELTs to integrate new data sources and enhance data management in the data warehouse (DWH) and other systems
- →Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, and analysis teams to deliver documented, reproducible datasets for healthcare KPIs, benchmarking, and product features
- →Drive business outcomes through data solutions (e.g., reducing cost, increasing accessibility)
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- ✓3+ years in data engineering building production pipelines and platforms
- ✓Healthcare domain experience is a plus
- ✓Strong analytical mindset and ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
- ✓Fluent in English, German a plus
- ✓Highly structured, curious, and motivated to work in an international and cross-functional environment
