About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our client's dynamic team supporting a Team Awareness Kit Interagency program. This role involves overseeing financial operations and supporting strategic planning for government contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee operational and projected expense plans (budget management)
- →Verify invoice compliance with contractual terms and fee schedules
- →Identify trends, discrepancies, deficiencies, and imbalances
- →Support short- and long-term financial planning to improve project and program cost efficiency
- →Prepare accounting and financial reports
- →Manage invoice inquiries and billing disputes
- →Utilize data from multiple systems to produce reports and audit/reconcile inventory
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues
- →Process service order and incident queues through defined workflow procedures
- →Participate in technical and management meetings as required
- →Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
Requirements
- ✓Three years of experience in finance and accounting; or
- ✓Two years of experience as a Government Billing Specialist; or
- ✓A degree in Accounting or Finance with one to two years of relevant experience
- ✓Public Trust eligible
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- ✓Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- ✓Ability to manage multiple tasks under limited supervision and tight deadlines
- ✓Experience working across multiple systems and platforms
- ✓Basic accounting knowledge
- ✓Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments
- ✓Proven ability to audit and investigate data from multiple sources
- ✓College or technical degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
