About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineering Solutions Lead to join Stripe's data team. This role involves driving high-impact data solutions and leading a team of engineers to build scalable data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead technical outcomes for a team of engineers, providing mentorship and support
- →Partner with recruiting to attract top talent
- →Deliver cutting-edge data pipelines that scale to users' needs
- →Develop subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for data pipelines
- →Collaborate with product managers to create/improve datasets and data warehouses
- →Leverage AI/LLM and Agents at scale for data analysis
- →Work with technologies like Spark, Flink, Kafka, Trino, Pinot, Airflow, Scala, Java, SQL, and Python
- →Drive execution of key data initiatives for Stripe
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience building data systems
- ✓Strong engineering background and passion for data
- ✓Experience with distributed data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Trino)
- ✓Ability to resolve deep data quality issues
- ✓Knowledge of backend development languages (Scala, Java, Go) and strong SQL experience
- ✓Customer focus and cross-functional collaboration skills
- ✓Ability to work with high autonomy in ambiguous environments
- ✓Experience with Iceberg, Kafka, Change Data Capture, Flink, Spark, Airflow, Hive Metastore, Pinot, Trino, AWS Cloud
- ✓Experience creating and maintaining Data Marts/Data Warehouses
- ✓Experience working with Product or GTM teams
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
