About the Role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Sumo Logic. This role focuses on maintaining and executing a reliability roadmap for our planet-scale observability and security products.

Key Responsibilities

→Support engineering teams by maintaining and executing a reliability roadmap for reliability, maintainability, security, efficiency, and velocity
→Collaborate with development infrastructure, Global SRE, and product area engineering teams to establish and refine reliability roadmap
→Define, evolve, and manage SLOs for several teams within the product area
→Participate in on-call rotations to understand operations workload and improve the on-call experience
→Complete projects to optimize and tune on-call experience for engineering teams
→Write code and automation to reduce operational workload and improve efficiency
→Work with developer infrastructure teams to advance reliability roadmap
→Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolve systems for improved reliability and velocity
→Drive root cause identification and issue resolution with teams

Requirements

✓Cloud native application development experience leveraging best practices and design patterns
✓Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack
✓Understanding of AWS Networking, Compute, Storage, and managed services
✓Understanding of modern CI/CD tooling like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible & Jenkins
✓Versed in Infrastructure as Code practices using technologies like Terraform or Cloud Formation
✓Experience with Linux systems and comfortable on the command line
✓Willingness to learn and use Sumo Logic products for solving reliability and security issues
✓Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another scientific or technical discipline
✓0-1 years of industry experience.
