About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll preparation and disbursement for US and Canadian associates. This position supervises the automated payroll system, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, and maintains confidentiality of personal data.
Key Responsibilities
- →Submit payroll information for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles
- →Process checks, direct deposits, stop payments, deductions, and adjustments
- →Calculate garnishment deductions and initiate appropriate payments
- →Monitor timely payments of federal, FICA, state, local and unemployment payroll taxes
- →Provide customer service to associates regarding pay and Human Resources information
- →Compile reports for accounting and auditors, verify W2 information
- →Maintain knowledge of state and federal payroll laws and adapt system to new requirements
- →Maintain HR System for tracking vacation and attendance, train supervisors and managers
Requirements
- ✓High school graduate or equivalent
- ✓2 to 4 years experience in payroll capacity
- ✓Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
- ✓Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Products
- ✓UKG experience preferred
