About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our global team at Symphony. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to support our clients' complex digital challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes using relevant technologies.
- →Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of data warehouses.
- →Ensure the quality and accuracy of data through rigorous testing and validation.
- →Work closely with Designers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to translate high-level requirements into detailed data architectures and designs.
- →Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Data Engineering, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
- →Provide guidance and coaching to Data Engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
- →Implement and maintain comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and stability of data pipelines.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- ✓3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering
- ✓Strong proficiency in SQL
- ✓Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, notebooks, workflows)
- ✓Experience working with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse
- ✓Experience with Python (Scala or Java is a plus)
- ✓Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures
- ✓Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- ✓Familiarity with Apache Spark and distributed data processing
- ✓Basic experience with Docker and containerized environments
- ✓Knowledge of relational and non-relational data modeling
- ✓Experience with version control systems (Git)
- ✓Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- ✓Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- ✓Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data integrations
