We are seeking a Technology Product Owner to lead the discovery, definition, and management of customer (internal user) requirements for an internal enterprise system. In this role, you will partner with business units (e.g., News Operations, Marketing, etc.) and technology teams to translate internal needs into clear, actionable requirements that improve efficiency, controls, and user experience. You will own the requirements backlog, ensure alignment to enterprise standards, and support delivery teams with well-defined priorities and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end intake, gathering, and management of internal customer requirements for enterprise applications and platforms.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, controls, and desired outcomes.
- Facilitate discovery sessions (workshops, process mapping, interviews) to capture current-state and future-state requirements.
- Document and validate functional and non-functional requirements (security, access controls, auditability, performance, availability, retention).
- Translate requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are clear, testable, and delivery-ready.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog; lead refinement/grooming to ensure items remain current and actionable.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, Security, and Data teams to confirm feasibility, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Partner with Change Management, Training, and Support teams to ensure internal users are prepared for releases and adoption is tracked.
- Manage scope, tradeoffs, and stakeholder expectationsβbalancing internal customer value with risk, compliance, and technical debt.
- Establish traceability from internal requirements through delivery and release; validate outcomes through demos, UAT support, and acceptance sign-off.
- Monitor post-release feedback and operational metrics; drive continuous improvement to reduce rework and improve user satisfaction.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise/internal systems.
- Demonstrated success gathering requirements from diverse internal stakeholders and translating them into Agile-ready artifacts.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery teams and managing backlogs in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document complex processes clearly.
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills; ability to make decisions in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience & proficiency using common project and development tools (e.g. Jira, Visio/Lucid, Microsoft Suite, etc.)
- Familiarity with enterprise integration concepts (APIs, data flows, identity/access management, SSO).
- Experience with governance, risk, and compliance requirements (audit readiness, segregation of duties, data privacy).

- Delivered changes improve operational KPIs (cycle time, error rates, compliance findings, support tickets, adoption).
Pay Range $140,000β$150,000 USD
