About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join The Exploration Company, a company developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle. This role involves planning and executing quality inspections, managing nonconformances, and providing quality assurance support in operations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan and execute quality inspections at incoming, key stages of manufacturing, and before release to customers.
- →Support the detection, documentation, and containment of nonconformances.
- →Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- →Provide day-to-day quality support to Manufacturing and Integration Teams (MAIT).
- →Review and approve MAIT procedures.
- →Monitor and enforce compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.
- →Qualify special processes based on EN9100.
- →Train MAIT staff on quality procedures.
- →Lead quality improvement projects.
- →Analyze quality data and generate reports.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- ✓Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing.
- ✓Knowledge of quality standards such as EN/AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- ✓Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and GD&T.
- ✓Experience with nonconformance management systems and root cause analysis tools.
- ✓Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, control plans, and statistical analysis.
- ✓Proficient in Microsoft Excel and desirable experience with Power BI.
- ✓Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
