About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team at Tide. This role involves designing and building the core infrastructure platform that supports Tide’s global businesses, including developing a Kubernetes-based deployment platform and ensuring it meets regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

→Work as part of the Cloud Engineering team to design and build core infrastructure
→Collaborate with stakeholders to understand platform requirements
→Write Terraform and Helm charts to define infrastructure and configure middleware
→Implement best practices alongside other senior Cloud engineers
→Support engineers in using the platform effectively
→Research and implement new technologies to improve the platform
→Promote understanding of platform capabilities throughout the engineering department
→Mentor and teach team members
→Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering roles
✓Extensive experience working in Cloud hosted environments
✓AWS expertise with recent hands-on experience
✓Strong skills in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python
✓Knowledge of Golang or willingness to learn
✓Platform mentality focused on serving engineers
✓Understanding of GitOps pattern and related technologies like ArgoCD
✓Familiarity with Kubernetes ecosystem services
✓Experience in highly regulated and security-conscious industries
✓OUR TECH STACK
✓Tide’s Cloud environment is 100% containerised using AWS EKS. All platform infrastructure is managed via IaC using Terraform and Terragrunt. Deployments are done via Argo-CD using a GitOps approach, with assistance from Helm and Crossplane to manage custom infrastructure.
