About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager — Voice AI (In-Store) to join Toast's Commerce Platform team. This role involves defining strategy, evaluating vendors and partners, running discovery and pilots in real restaurants, and leading commercialization to create a reusable voice platform for restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define vision and portfolio strategy for in-store voice AI and platform capabilities
- →Run technical evaluation of voice and AI vendors and create benchmarking frameworks
- →Lead commercial conversations with vendors and partners
- →Drive discovery, prototyping, and in-restaurant pilots
- →Design a reusable voice platform with APIs and integration patterns
- →Lead GTM and commercialization strategy
- →Coordinate cross-functional delivery across multiple teams
- →Drive operational readiness and reliability

Requirements
- ✓8+ years shipping complex software products with ownership of multi-team programs
- ✓Hands-on experience with AI model evaluation and continuous evaluation processes
- ✓Proven track record taking a product from discovery through prototype and pilot to scale
- ✓Experience evaluating AI/voice vendors and participating in commercial conversations
- ✓Ability to design reusable APIs and platform capabilities
- ✓Experience conducting on-site discovery and validating prototypes in operational environments
