About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Principal Technical Program Manager to join Toast, a company that creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world. This role will drive and enhance the efficiency, execution, and cross-functional alignment of large, complex R&D initiatives, focusing on providing technical program management support for complex infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

→Drive execution for major cross-functional programs, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
→Quickly understand the scope, requirements, and risks associated with new and existing programs
→Cultivate solid relationships with stakeholders across R&D, Product, and Engineering
→Adapt to change and iterate quickly in complex and ambiguous environments
→Leverage technical fluency to guide teams, establishing best practices and fostering continuous improvement

Requirements

✓12+ years of experience in technical program management
✓Deep background in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and strong technical fluency
✓Demonstrated ability to build strategic frameworks and standardize processes
✓Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
✓Results-oriented with a strategic mindset
✓Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
✓Adaptable, iterative, and feedback-driven
