About the Role
Toast is looking for a Software engineer to join our team in Bangalore where we are building the next generation of software solutions for our restaurants. You will enable restaurants to access data, draw meaningful insights, and take data-driven actions by leading the team to develop the best-in-class solution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Bring your domain and general experience to design, build and launch features/improvements on our platform
- →Be involved in complex, high impact projects that may span multiple teams
- →Champion best practices for development, deployment and quality life-cycles
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience as a software engineer
- ✓Highly proficient knowledge in a high-level programming language such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go etc
- ✓Knowledge of and experience in building data intensive backend services/APIs
- ✓Very good knowledge in other parts of the stack, Postgres, Spark, AWS
- ✓Strong foundations in Data Structures, Algorithms, Big Data and Data Pipelines
- ✓Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology
- ✓Strong understanding of software engineering, distributed systems and Event Driven Platforms
- ✓Experience working with product teams to invent solutions that deliver good outcomes to our customer and the company
- ✓Demonstrate humility, empathy and respectfulness
