About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join TomTom's Maps team, which is central to our vision of creating the world’s most accurate and intelligent map. As an Engineering Manager, you will help evolve the Orbis Road and Lane Models by transforming high-fidelity data into map content that powers next-generation navigation and automated driving.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage your team to execute against project plans and delivery commitments, identifying risks and reporting to higher management.
- →Own the complete software development lifecycle, from defining and prioritizing to designing and leading implementation and testing of new features.
- →Own all business and operational support and metrics for your team’s software.
- →Enable and support team members to maximize their potential, implementing continuous improvement culture.
- →Translate customers’ complex requirements into technical solutions and define your team’s charter and roadmap.
- →Set up your team for innovation, defining new ideas and investments contributing to the future of map-making.
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience as a people manager, including planning, tracking, and reporting on execution.
- ✓5+ years of experience as a software developer.
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, physics, or related technical discipline.
- ✓Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- ✓Ability to break down complex concepts into easily understood frameworks and models.
- ✓Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- ✓Experience using Cloud Providers (Azure preferred).
