About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Feedback and Resolution organization at TomTom. This role involves managing a team of around 30 people who own a critical platform for collecting, processing, and resolving customer feedback to enhance map quality across all TomTom products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage multiple engineering teams directly with other managers and Staff Engineers reporting to you
- →Use your technical background to set direction, evaluate designs, grow senior talent, and challenge decisions
- →Work directly with Management, senior technical experts, and Product Managers to deliver prioritized, incremental product outcomes
- →Set guidelines for all developers in our department and improve software engineering practices
- →Identify growth opportunities and coach team members to success
- →Define a team topology and staffing plan that sets the team up for success
- →Proactively identify and mitigate technical, operational, and organizational risks
- →Champion engineering excellence through strong architecture, code quality, monitoring, metrics, and automated testing
- →Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years of experience managing other managers
- ✓Strong software engineering background with experience in distributed systems and data intensive platforms
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- ✓Strong coaching and mentoring mindset with a track record of developing senior engineers and engineering leaders
- ✓Passion for customer experience, operational excellence, and building systems that scale
