About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, responsible for owning the AWS infrastructure end-to-end in a highly hands-on capacity. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and operating cloud environments with strong principles of automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- βLead the design and management of cloud environments using Pulumi, ensuring infrastructure is reproducible and version-controlled
- βArchitect and maintain robust deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions, optimizing the development to production flow for Python/Django and React applications
- βCollaborate with engineering teams to maintain a high security posture, using Vanta for automated compliance
- βOptimize and scale the AWS ecosystem (ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) to support high-performance distributed applications
- βImplement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting systems in production to ensure 24/7 availability of critical services
- βWork closely with software engineers to define requirements and implement best practices in an Agile environment
Requirements
- β8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Application Engineering with integrated Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- βAdvanced, in-depth knowledge of AWS, with extensive experience deploying and managing scalable, cloud-native architectures
- βProven track record using Pulumi (or similar tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation) to manage complex infrastructure
- βStrong experience building CI/CD workflows in GitHub and automating manual processes
- βHands-on experience with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes for managing microservices
- βAdvanced knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic
- βDemonstrated ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
