Role Overview
The Technical Writer plays a key role in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation while managing and maintaining multiple knowledge bases. This role involves developing, updating, and publishing help center articles, specification sheets, assembly manuals, presentations, and web content. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality documentation that serves as a reference for learning and operational use.
Core Competencies
β’ Write, publish, and maintain high-quality technical content for online and print formats, including written, video, and graphical materials (e.g., diagrams, flowcharts)
β’ Manage documentation production and publishing workflows
β’ Collaborate with engineers, product managers, field teams, and repair technicians
β’ Identify user needs, use cases, and success metrics to prioritize content
β’ Audit existing documentation against current processes and update as needed
β’ Capture knowledge, decisions, and processes in a clear, user-friendly format

β’ Manage and maintain multiple help centers and knowledge bases
β’ Ensure content accuracy, structure, discoverability, and usability
β’ Apply SEO best practices to improve content visibility and user experienceDocumentation Creation & Maintenance
β’ Create and maintain technical documentation such as help articles, specification sheets, and assembly manuals
β’ Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and reflects current processesCross-Functional Collaboration
β’ Work closely with product management, engineering, quality assurance, and other stakeholders

β’ Coordinate translation and localization of documentation for global audiences

Skills & Attributes
β’ 3β4 years of experience in technical writing and documentation
β’ High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
β’ Strong technical aptitude and comfort working with complex systems
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ Ability to communicate effectively across global teams and organizational levels
β’ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
β’ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
β’ Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
