About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to act as the Contracting Entity’s representative, taking responsibility for managing a group of projects from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications, achieving all project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee and monitor project delivery around schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract, and risk
- →Develop the Project Execution Plan aligned with the Contracting Entity's standards and methods
- →Engage with and manage project relationships with stakeholders
- →Lead project coordination ensuring interfaces are addressed at all stages of the project lifecycle
- →Maintain the Responsible/Accountable/Consulted/Informed task tracker
- →Coordinate and manage design consultants and external service providers
- →Organize design review meetings and communicate design acceptance and changes
- →Report monthly on project tasks throughout the lifecycle
- →Maintain the overall project risk register and update at monthly meetings
- →Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures
- →Monitor and apply performance management techniques
- →Manage the change control process
- →Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client
- →Review and accept programme submissions (NEC specific)
- →Lead and act in the spirit of mutual trust and cooperation
- →Communicate and issue documents as required by the ECC
- →Carry out duties as required by the Contracting Entity’s contract
- →Manage the compensation event process
- →Assess payment after each assessment interval
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 10 years of experience in the Construction/Infrastructure sector
- ✓Understanding of operating in a live site
- ✓Experience of operating on site, not just office based
- ✓Experience of documenting best practice construction project management policies and standards
- ✓Track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects on time and within budget
- ✓Knowledge of operating as a client’s project manager
- ✓Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to govern and drive outcomes to meet required standards
- ✓Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC suite of contracts
- ✓Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles
- ✓Planning capability and ability to use Oracle Primavera 6 scheduling system
- ✓Knowledge of Policies and Procedures implementation
- ✓Ability to make decisions and demonstrate logic in reaching those decisions.
