About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the development of ML-first multi-tenant products and agentic solutions at UiPath. This role involves rethinking and rearchitecting manufacturing and retail business processes using data-driven predictions, decisions, and intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build, mentor, and scale a world-class multidisciplinary engineering team of 75 engineers and applied scientists
- →Collaborate across multiple vertically aligned engineering teams, product managers, and solutions architects for successful development and adoption of products and solutions
- →Partner with Forward Deployment Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Account Managers to understand customer challenges and translate them into scalable engineering solutions
- →Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of agentic solutions, AI agents, and ML products in the domain of pricing and inventory management
- →Drive the adoption of leading agentic coding tools to modernize workflows, boost productivity, and elevate code quality
- →Establish engineering best practices for AI model deployment while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards
- →Analyze complex technical issues, technology choices, and communicate them with the team and stakeholders
- →Incubate new ideas and create a roadmap for areas of focus
- →Accountable for software deliverables to meet all requirements of quality, security, scalability, extensibility, and testability
- →Continuously improve engineering practices and dev inner loop in the team to increase quality, velocity, and productivity
Requirements
- ✓Proven track record (10+ years' experience) of architecting and hands-on engineering world-class commercial applications
- ✓Proven track record of architecting and developing ML or Agentic commercial products
- ✓Experience architecting scalable multi-tenant architecture on cloud using container orchestration with vanilla or Kubernetes-based solutions
- ✓Ability to work with a globally distributed team
- ✓Ability to work closely with customers to develop initial POC and convert POCs to Product when needed
- ✓Proficiency in at least one programming language and strong software fundamentals
- ✓Proficiency in at least one area of AI (preferably in LLM/NLP or Classical ML)
