About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Solutions Architect to join our go-to-market team at Upbound. In this role, you will focus on the post-sales implementation of our products and solutions, leveraging your deep technical knowledge and experience with cloud-native solutions based on Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

→Partner with the pre-sales team to transition customers through post-sales implementation
→Understand customer environments and requirements, designing architecture and solutions
→Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane technology in customer production environments
→Perform technical discovery to scope customer engagements and contribute to Statements of Work
→Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges during the implementation phase
→Improve customer deployments by writing code, fixing bugs, and building features
→Build and maintain cloud-native reference platforms
→Work cross-departmentally to find solutions to complex scenarios
→Represent customer needs internally to influence product roadmap
→Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers

Requirements

✓Experience writing and maintaining code that interfaces with the Kubernetes API
✓Background in platform engineering/SRE with building an IDP
✓Deep understanding of highly scaled and reliable services across major cloud providers
✓Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and business teams
✓Experience working directly with customers to troubleshoot complex technical issues
✓Knowledge of Cloud Native Landscape projects, especially CNCF projects
✓Familiarity with modern operational and application delivery tools like Terraform, CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps
✓Programming skills in a modern language (Go preferred)
✓Ability to work closely with diverse teams and manage multiple projects
