About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead and grow a dynamic engineering organization at Vanta. This role focuses on enabling large, complex enterprises to scale their GRC programs and build platform capabilities that power multi-tenant management, program segmentation, and enterprise reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead multiple teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably
- →Independently identify and realize strategies that deliver significant value to customers and business
- →Set and deliver technical strategy, including evolving the legacy codebase
- →Build a best-in-class engineering team through hiring, coaching, and mentoring
- →Actively shape the organization to deliver for the business
- →Partner closely with Design, Product, and GTM counterparts
- →Drive key architectural initiatives to support Vanta's upmarket growth
- →Play an integral role in influencing and shaping Vanta's engineering culture and strategy
- →Enable teams to ship iteratively with speed and quality
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of engineering leadership experience
- ✓Experience leading and scaling engineering organizations of 30+
- ✓Passion for leading, coaching, and building an inspired team
- ✓Strong technical craft with the ability to set and deliver technical strategy
- ✓Business acumen paired with strong product sense
- ✓Experience shipping products at scale
- ✓Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality
- ✓Effective communicator and story-teller
- ✓Operates at multiple altitudes, from developing vision to driving execution
- ✓Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work
