About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer who thinks like a product architect and codes like a software engineer. At Veeam Kasten, we release market-leading Kubernetes data protection software, making security critical to safeguarding our customers' environments and data. This role ensures security is embedded throughout the lifecycle, not just as a gate at the end.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign & Architecture: Perform threat modeling on new features, identifying architectural risks before code is written
- βCode-Level Security: Review Pull Requests and conduct deep-dive code audits, manually analyzing logic to find complex flaws
- βVulnerability Remediation: Triage findings from tooling and write production-ready patches to resolve vulnerabilities
- βSecure Software Supply Chain: Oversee the integrity of build dependencies, ensuring open-source libraries are secure
Requirements
- βCompetent developer in Go (Golang) with exposure to modern frontend frameworks like Vue.js
- βExtensive experience with Kubernetes and understanding of its security primitives
- βExperience integrating security into early stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
- βFamiliarity with modern AppSec and Supply Chain tools (Grype, Cycode, Wiz)
- βAbility to balance theoretical security perfection with practical software shipping realities
