About the Role
The Workplace Operations Manager is responsible for facilitating an exceptional office experience, providing operational support with a strong focus on customer service. You will work in collaboration with the Global Real Estate team to provide and maintain a top tier facility and employee experience. You are an individual who thrives in a fast paced evolving environment, who possesses strong communication skills, and the ability to successfully prioritize and execute tasks. You have a growth and development mindset, know how to stay self-motivated and lead with a positive attitude.
What You'll Do
β’ Serves as the first point of contact, and face of the Global Real Estate team in your local office.
β’ Facilitates an ongoing delightful employee experience by providing operational support and maintaining a well organized, visually pleasing facility.
β’ Assists in maintaining and enhancing the Workplace programs (ex: mailroom operations, internal events, food and beverage programs, etc.).
β’ Build an active relationship with business partners and leaders to assess team allocations and occupancy needs as well as conference room usage. Provide proactive solutions, and improvement ideas through observation.
β’ Maintain spatial data within the space management tool and ensure accuracy of information.
β’ Participate with building audits to verify employee locations, furniture layout and room configurations are correctly noted in the space management tool.
β’ Coordinate with the Space Planning to maintain space standard ratios for on/offline rooms and office standards and solutions, as well as define space related programs to improve team member experience.
β’ Facilitates and maintains relationships with building vendors, such as landlord, food and beverage partners, etc.
β’ Maintain budgets and track expenses for multiple different areas of the business.
β’ Acts as the single point of contact for all building related issues.
β’ Identify environment, health and safety matters.
β’ Collaborates with the Global EHS manager to implement EHS programs and procedures and follow EHS laws and regulations.
β’ Work with Global EHS and Workplace Operations to comply with fire, life safety laws and regulations.
β’ Facilitates connecting employees to all aspects of the broader Verkada Business Operations teams.
β’ Assists the Sr. Manager of Workplace for JAPAC across all offices as needed.
β’ Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
β’ Travels to other offices in the region as needed.
β’ Other site specific duties and support may be required.
What You Bring
β’ A passion for providing exceptional customer service through human connection and ongoing operations support.
β’ 5+ years of management experience or related project management experience.
β’ 5+ years of workplace services experience.
β’ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments, work collaboratively.
β’ Strong organizational and planning skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and ever-changing priorities.
β’ Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, FLS, plumbing, etc.) is preferred strongly encouraged.
β’ Strong financial acumen with solid understanding of budget tracking & maintenance.
