About the Role
FANDANGO is looking for a Software Engineer to build and improve tools and systems that power developer productivity across their platforms. In this role, you'll join the Platform Operations team and help deliver platform enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own features end-to-end from design through implementation and production support
- →Build and maintain internal tools and platforms to improve developer productivity
- →Develop backend services, APIs, and data models that support platform capabilities
- →Build frontend interfaces using React and Next.js
- →Work with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- →Write clean, well-tested code with comprehensive test coverage
- →Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams to leverage shared services
- →Collaborate with SRE teams on reliability and incident response
- →Ensure smooth operational handoffs and support readiness
- →Instrument applications with logging, metrics, and tracing
- →Participate in on-call rotations for services you build
- →Manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines
- →Contribute to technical documentation and code reviews
- →Improve development practices, tools, and workflows
Requirements
- ✓Experience building and maintaining internal tools and platforms
- ✓Strong backend development skills with APIs and data models
- ✓Proficiency with React and Next.js for frontend development
- ✓Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- ✓Knowledge of logging, metrics, and tracing systems
- ✓Ability to participate in on-call rotations
- ✓Strong documentation skills
- ✓Experience with code reviews and maintaining code quality
