The Role
As a Product Manager II, you help streamline the workflow of non-emergency and emergency
phone calls with related multi-media interactions. Our Community Engagement and 9-1-1
systems power Communication Centers that keep communities safe.
In this role, you own the delivery of detailed product strategy for a focused set of solutions,
managing the backlog, setting feature priorities, and analyzing product usage and adoption
data. This position is both strategic and hands-on β balancing product direction with day-to-day
prioritization to ensure our products continue to lead the industry.
What You Do
Setting Strategy
β’ Define the product's vision and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with company
objectives and customer needs.
β’ Clearly articulate the business case and customer value for each initiative or feature.
β’ Serve as the recognized subject matter expert on the product, the market, and the
competitive landscape.
Defining the Roadmap
β’ Translate product strategy into actionable plans, determining what to build and when to release it.
β’ Build and maintain a detailed development roadmap for internal teams and a high-level roadmap for executives and customers.
β’ Gather input from customers, internal stakeholders, and market research to shape the roadmap.
β’ Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery meets market needs and quality standards.
Evaluating and Prioritizing Features
β’ Collect and curate ideas from customers, sales, and internal stakeholders for the backlog.
β’ Prioritize features by balancing user value, development effort, time to market, and
competitive differentiation.
β’ Track and evaluate product performance including feature adoption, customer
satisfaction, and churn/renewal drivers.
β’ Run trials, pilots, and MVPs to validate assumptions before broader launches.
β’ Perform ongoing market and competitor research.
Stakeholders and Key Work Partners
β’ Collaborate internally with engineering, sales, marketing, partner success, support,
implementation, finance, legal, and the leadership team.
β’ Engage externally with customers, end-users, and partners to gather feedback and
ensure the product meets real-world needs.
β’ Promote the product through training, sales enablement, webinars, and direct customer interactions.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Business, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO) are a plus.
β’ A minimum of 5β7 years of experience in a Product Management role.
β’ Proven experience overseeing elements of the product development lifecycle.
β’ Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
β’ Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
β’ Highly effective cross-functional team collaboration skills.
β’ Exceptional writing and presentation skills.
β’ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Asset Qualifications:
β’ Experience with Aha! Product Management software.
β’ Familiarity with software engineering concepts such as APIs, databases, and cloud
β’ Experience with Call Center software such as ACD, IVR and AI bots.
β’ Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate product workflows, including
requirements generation, research synthesis, and user story drafting. Familiarity with AI-native or spec-driven development (SDD) practices is a plus.
