About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to play a key role in shaping mission-critical systems for Police, Fire, and EMS. This role involves providing leadership across multiple product areas and ensuring delivery aligns with strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner strategically with Product Managers to influence the product vision and translate high-level roadmaps into actionable plans
- →Own and manage multiple product backlogs, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are well-defined and prioritized
- →Act as the primary point of contact for engineers, clarifying requirements and facilitating Agile processes
- →Represent the voice of the customer to development teams and collaborate with designers and analysts
- →Review completed work to ensure it meets the product vision and maintain high quality standards
- →Analyze team processes to drive efficiency and mentor other Product Owners
Requirements
- ✓Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- ✓5–7 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in software development
- ✓Deep understanding of Scrum or Kanban frameworks and proficiency in backlog management
- ✓Technical acumen or familiarity with software engineering concepts
- ✓Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical requirements
- ✓Deep expertise in Agile frameworks and hands-on proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
- ✓Note: This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada.
