About the Role

Vio is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Meta Integrations team and help expand our operations to different meta channels. This role involves identifying and delivering the best deals to various Metasearch channels, ensuring our customers receive the best possible offers. The MINT (Metasearch Integration) team builds and maintains technical integrations with metasearch partners, ensuring reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

→Build and evolve metasearch integrations, delivering new features and improvements for partner-facing technical integrations
→Own and improve Meta Integrations’ core production systems end-to-end, including on-call readiness and reliability improvements
→Drive system design and technical decision-making, writing design docs and reviewing designs with peers
→Continuously improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and shipping measurable improvements
→Operate in a data-informed way, leveraging data engineering and analysis to validate changes and measure impact
→Mentor engineers, improve engineering practices, and influence technical direction across team boundaries

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience designing, shipping, and operating high-scale back-end services in production
✓Proficiency with Golang and experience with at least two programming languages
✓Strong distributed systems fundamentals and a track record of improving performance, reliability, and code quality
✓Ability to write design docs and defend architecture trade-offs clearly
✓Data literacy, comfortable with data pipelines and using data to debug production behavior
✓Experience in cross-functional product environments in agile setups
✓Self-starter with end-to-end ownership mentality and a pragmatic team-first attitude
✓Clear and concise communication skills, especially in design discussions and stakeholder alignment
