About the Role

We are seeking an Automation Tester to join one of our banking clients in Wellington on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting in January/February 2026. In this embedded role, you’ll help deliver new-generation digital lending experiences.

Key Responsibilities

→Plan and deliver test activities for moderately complex systems.
→Make informed testing decisions and improve test design, efficiency, and maintainability.
→Build reporting to clearly present outcomes.
→Diagnose and resolve defects, coverage gaps, and process inefficiencies.
→Plan testing based on risk, complexity, and impact; ensure test coverage.
→Apply test pyramid principles for cost-effective automation.
→Build strong cross-team relationships and support acceptance testing.
→Mentor and support others, contributing to a culture of quality.

Requirements

✓Experience in automation testing for moderately complex systems.
✓Ability to make informed testing decisions and improve test design.
✓Strong reporting skills to present outcomes clearly.
