About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Developer Effectiveness team at Visa Spend Clarity. This role focuses on improving the engineering experience of teams building our product through targeted interventions in areas of friction.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build or enable the build of fit-for-purpose platform capabilities
- →Enable engineering teams to adopt platform capabilities such as a feature flag platform, caching platform, and service generation tooling
- →Reduce operational toil through automation
- →Participate in reviews, training, pair programming, and mentoring
- →Proactively reduce technical debt
- →Evaluate, implement, and integrate with 3rd party technologies and tools
- →Maintain relationships and influence customers to adopt new practices and technologies
- →Provide documentation and training to meet customer needs
Requirements
- ✓Experience in software development with a focus on scale and maintenance
- ✓Strong understanding of cloud technologies
- ✓Experience with automation and reducing operational toil
- ✓Ability to mentor and support team delivery
