About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join Vonage and help innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide. This role involves designing and leading the evolution of our Cloud Native Kubernetes platforms, ensuring global production APIs are resilient, cost-efficient, and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the long-term architectural roadmap for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
- →Own the lifecycle of our global Kubernetes footprint (EKS/GKE)
- →Build custom controllers and API integrations using Go
- →Architect automated guardrails using Kyverno
- →Lead the implementation and evolution of our Internal Developer Portal
- →Mentor P3 engineers and drive CNCF community engagement
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Platform Engineering
- ✓Expert-level experience managing and debugging Kubernetes environments
- ✓Deep proficiency in Go or Python
- ✓Mastery of Terraform and a transition-oriented mindset toward Kubernetes-native management
- ✓Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions
- ✓Proven experience building or maintaining an Internal Developer Portal
- ✓Ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed system failures
- ✓Track record of optimizing large-scale cluster topologies
- ✓Experience designing observability stacks using open-source tools
- ✓Deep familiarity with GCP and AWS in a multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud context
