Key Responsibilities
- βWork closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders across business, product, engineering, legal, HR and compliance teams on privacy-related matters
- βCollaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the inclusion of appropriate Data Privacy Acts and contractual clauses
- βWork with various product teams on the technical implementation of privacy compliance including data mapping and Data Protection Impact Assessments
- βMaintain privacy compliance systems to ensure requirements are met
- βRespond to data subject requests
- βSupport continuous process improvement and simplification efforts
- βHelp develop and deliver privacy training for the enterprise
Requirements
- βExtensive experience of privacy/data protection
- βCIPM, CIPP, or similar certification is preferred but not required
- βStrong understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, CCPA, LGPD, Privacy Act of 1988 and PIPEDA, POPI South Africa
- βWorking knowledge of the EU Data Act, EU AI Act, and NIS2
- βTrack record of project management and privacy compliance program ownership
- βTechnical understanding of implementing data protection obligations within a business
- βExperience with TrustArc, OneTrust, or similar systems
