About the Role
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. This role focuses on driving test automation excellence across our organization, implementing cutting-edge frameworks and methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of our critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop test automation infrastructure using Python and Bash scripting
- →Create libraries and APIs that enable efficient test execution across different platforms
- →Build scalable test execution engines for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) and Virtual Simulation (VSIM) environments
- →Develop automated scoring and reporting mechanisms to evaluate test results
- →Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- →Create and optimize Docker containers for consistent test infrastructure
- →Implement logging and monitoring solutions for test execution
- →Integrate automation solutions with Simulink Test and Simulink Check
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- ✓Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in automation script development
- ✓Strong proficiency in Python for test automation frameworks
- ✓Experience with Shell scripting (Bash) for automation and deployment
- ✓Proficiency with Docker containerization
- ✓Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration
- ✓Demonstrated expertise in unit testing for C++ or Matlab/Simulink
- ✓Experience designing automated test strategies for complex systems
- ✓Knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems
- ✓Ability to develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
- ✓Experience with version control systems (Git)
- ✓Ability to mentor junior team members in test automation practices
- ✓Willingness to travel as required
