About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join Wabtec Corporation, a leading global provider of equipment and digital solutions for rail and industrial markets. This role will work closely with the Machine Vision Algorithms team to analyze system performance and derive insights from large-scale datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Analyze multi-site operational datasets to identify trends and system performance patterns
- →Conduct repeatability and consistency studies to evaluate system reliability
- →Assess system outputs and image/sensor data to identify drift and improvement opportunities
- →Build intuitive dashboards to visualize key metrics
- →Develop recurring reports to communicate pre- and post-deployment performance
- →Translate complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- →Support customer site visits by presenting data-backed insights
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate findings
- →Analyze historical image and operational data to refine system specifications
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
- ✓4–7 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role
- ✓Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and analytical libraries
- ✓Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- ✓Good understanding of data quality metrics, statistical analysis, and performance benchmarking
- ✓Exposure to computer vision concepts such as image quality metrics or CV model evaluation
- ✓Familiarity with deep learning workflows is a plus
- ✓Experience working with large datasets from distributed systems or industrial equipment is preferred
- ✓Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
