Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water Resources Team to improve infrastructure in our Miami office. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and have zero to three years of related experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit is preferred. Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills will be essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
Youβll partner with an experienced local Project Director to deliver impactful water and wastewater projects for local utilities. In this role, you will:
β’ Lead projects that protect and enhance the Indian River Lagoon
β’ Grow your project management and client leadership skills
β’ Play a key role in expanding an office with 21 years of local presence
β’ Work within established, ongoing utility programs that provide stability and variety
This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of water or wastewater experience who is ready to step into, or continue growing in, a project management leadership role.
Typical responsibilities include:
Project Leadership
β’ Develop and manage project scope, budgets, and schedules
β’ Monitor financial performance and proactively manage risks
Client & Team Leadership
β’ Lead client, public, and internal meetings
β’ Maintain strong, long-term client relationships
β’ Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines
Technical Excellence
β’ Prepare technical memoranda, design reports, and construction plans
β’ Support permitting and specification development
β’ Apply local and state standards to treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
Education:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Skills/Experience:
β’ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
β’ 5+ years of water / wastewater engineering experience
β’ Strong communication, organization, and technical writing skills
