About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the platform software development group at Wasabi Technologies. This role involves tackling complex platform-level problems and bringing scalable solutions to fruition.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with a highly productive agile team to define and build our global product
- →Work independently on new things with little previous knowledge, drawing on experience to succeed
- →Write clean, efficient, scalable, secure and maintainable code
- →Contribute to new features and functionality, and identify and resolve defects
- →Maintain consistent communication
- →Assist developers in and outside the Platform Team
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of software development experience
- ✓Excellent knowledge of Linux
- ✓Very strong knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, containerd and Helm
- ✓Understanding of at least 7 of the following: Networking and Routing, Kubernetes CNIs, Proxmox and/or OpenNebula, Ansible, Terraform, Helmfile, Monitoring stack elements, LDAP and authentication, Test methodology, DNS, DHCP and PXE technologies, Bash, Postgres, Ceph, Security with cloud-based products, AI skills
- ✓Experience with Agile software development principles
- ✓Good attitude and team-first mentality
