About the Role

We are looking for a Head Start Teacher to join our team, responsible for a classroom of 3- to 5-year-old children. This role involves collaborating with assistant teachers, families, and staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities through rigorous academics, social-emotional learning, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• →Create and foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment with consistent routines and high expectations
• →Implement curriculum with fidelity through backwards lesson planning and research-based best practices
• →Track and monitor academic progress of all students, completing developmental and social-emotional screenings
• →Establish strong relationships with families, regularly communicating student progress and collaborating on home learning
• →Participate in reflective coaching, self-assessment, and team collaboration to analyze data and improve practices
• →Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment in accordance with Head Start and childcare licensing requirements
• →Perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and engaging at child level
