About the Role

We are looking for an Art Teacher to join DREAM Charter Schools. This role involves building meaningful relationships with students, designing and implementing NYS Learning Standards-aligned curriculum, and working with grade teams to analyze data to drive instruction. The position reports to the Academic Dean and focuses on improving student outcomes through excellent instruction and positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

• →Create and foster a culture where all students can achieve at high levels
• →Design and implement NYS Learning Standards-aligned curriculum through backwards lesson planning
• →Actively participate in all meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development
• →Track, monitor, and assume responsibility for academic progress of students
• →Analyze data and trends to inform instruction
• →Set and maintain high expectations by building meaningful relationships
• →Work with Student Culture Team to create individual behavior plans for students
• →Build a warm and inclusive classroom environment
• →Work with grade team to analyze data, revise practices, and discuss individual scholars
• →Establish and maintain strong relationships and communicate scholars’ progress with families
• →Lead workshops, clubs, activities, or teams as part of the After School Program
• →Perform additional duties related to the running of the school as assigned
