About the Role
We are looking for a Dean of SEL and Community to lead the social-emotional learning program at Highbridge Middle School and drive positive culture for the school community, staff, families, and students. This role requires deep expertise in positive youth development and social-emotional learning.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as a member of the Middle/High School Leadership Teams
- →Supervise and provide professional development for Family Engagement Managers and SEL Specialists
- →Lead school-based community outreach initiatives including events, attendance support, and family case management
- →Design and execute positive culture initiatives and systems for staff, families, and students
- →Lead execution of SEL curriculum in Advisory, Homeroom, and SEL intervention programs
- →Design lesson plans aligned with DREAM's network SEL vision
- →Collaborate with Academic Deans to utilize student data for instructional improvement
- →Drive execution of SEL data systems including administration, collection, analysis, and action planning
- →Provide coaching and professional development for school staff to improve SEL programming
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, social work, youth development or related field
- ✓Minimum 5 years experience working with youth, families, and teachers
- ✓At least 2 years in a management role managing full-time teams
- ✓Experience in people management and/or coaching and leading professional development
- ✓Strong track record of success and achievement orientation
- ✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- ✓Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- ✓Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
