About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Early Childhood to lead all program and administrative services for DREAM's Head Start programs across multiple sites. This role provides vision and leadership while ensuring full compliance with performance standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure high-quality implementation of program design at each Head Start location
- →Lead continuous improvement of programs and systems to meet key performance indicators
- →Set and maintain high expectations for quality teaching and learning
- →Directly supervise, coach, and develop Site Directors
- →Support recruitment, selection, training, and retention of high-performing teams
- →Manage strategic review and analysis of student data
- →Foster collaborative, results-driven culture across Head Start locations
- →Lead professional development and ongoing program improvement
- →Build and sustain excellent relationships with staff, students, families, and stakeholders
- →Ensure compliance with enrollment, data collection, implementation, and record keeping
- →Maintain fiscal responsibility and stay under budget
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree required (Business or Early Childhood Education preferred)
- ✓Minimum 5 years of previous experience or related work experience
- ✓Minimum 1 year of experience managing people, developing teams, and leading organizational change
- ✓Understanding of Head Start philosophy and principles
- ✓Prior experience in facilitating and delivering training programs
- ✓Ability to manage a fiscally sound budget
- ✓Strong analytic, performance management, and systems-thinking orientation
- ✓Willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes
- ✓Ability to connect with diverse groups and build strong relationships
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Strong belief in the mission and values of DREAM
- ✓Physical exam, fingerprinting, and federal background check required
- ✓Must work 5 days a week in person at locations in East Harlem and the South Bronx
