About the Role
We are looking for an Event Coordinator to join our Event Operations team at Web Summit. This role focuses on planning and executing global tech events to create world-class attendee experiences. You will work closely with producers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations from pre-production through on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Assist in planning global events and support production teams with timelines and communication
- →Coordinate pre-production planning for peripheral events, partner activations, and VIP events
- →Manage venue liaison, operational logistics, event staff, and database management
- →Liaise with key suppliers and contractors including contracting, briefings, and point of contact
- →Use data to develop efficient processes with cross-company teams
- →Work on-site as part of the wider team to ensure event excellence
Requirements
- ✓Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail
- ✓Self-motivated with enthusiasm and ability to stay calm under pressure
- ✓Problem-solving skills with ability to think on feet and prioritize workload
- ✓Flexibility to thrive in fast-paced, pressurized environments
- ✓Ability to juggle multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
- ✓Analytical skills to assess requirements and develop delivery structures
- ✓Passion for startups, tech, and events with willingness to work in dedicated teams
- ✓Confident and friendly personality with strong communication abilities
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong performance preferred
- ✓Previous experience in event planning or coordination roles
