About the Role
We are looking for a Product Owner Manager to join our team at Wellfit, a healthcare fintech company that enhances experiences between patients, providers, employers, and payors. This role combines hands-on product ownership with people leadership, ensuring strong execution and consistent delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- →Directly manage and develop 2–3 Product Owners
- →Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities for direct reports
- →Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance
- →Maintain direct ownership of assigned products, features, or initiatives
- →Own backlog prioritization, refinement, and readiness for assigned workstreams
- →Translate product strategy and roadmap initiatives into executable plans
- →Align priorities, sequencing, and dependencies across Product Owners
- →Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Scrum Masters to support delivery health
- →Establish and reinforce best practices for backlog management and delivery execution
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, or similar role in a SaaS, fintech, or health tech environment
- ✓Prior experience managing or formally leading Product Owners or similar roles
- ✓Strong experience owning product backlogs and delivering complex initiatives
- ✓Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and performance-manage team members
- ✓Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and tools (Jira, Confluence)
- ✓Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- ✓Experience managing teams while maintaining hands-on product ownership
- ✓Experience working across multiple product domains or platforms
- ✓Familiarity with configuration-heavy platforms, rules engines, or eligibility/benefits logic
- ✓Background in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries
- ✓Experience operating in scaled Agile environments
