About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Data Scientist with a background in Operations Research to join Wheely, a high-end ride-hailing service redefining premium transportation. This role involves owning the entire process from ideation and research through to production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- βCollaborate with engineers, Data Scientists, designers, and product managers to solve ambiguous problems
- βResearch, prototype, and ship ML and optimisation models into production
- βContinuously improve existing algorithms and identify opportunities for new ones
Requirements
- βMaster's or PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Management Science or a closely related field with a focus on optimisation
- βStrong foundation in mathematical optimisation or mathematical programming
- βSolid knowledge of probability & statistics
- βExcellent programming skills in Python and core ML tooling (e.g. SQL, PyTorch, etc.)
