About the Role
WHOOP is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Ecosystem engineering team, driving the development of integration platforms and partner-facing APIs. This role involves building and managing a team while ensuring high-quality integrations at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and lead the Ecosystem engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- →Lead technical planning and delivery across multiple workstreams, defining milestones and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders
- →Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Security, and Legal/Privacy teams to define requirements and deliver integration experiences
- →Establish technical strategy and architecture for ecosystem services and integration patterns
- →Ensure operational excellence for ecosystem services, including reliability and incident response
- →Drive engineering standards for software development, testing, documentation, and secure API design
Requirements
- ✓Experience managing and growing software engineering teams
- ✓Strong technical background in building and operating backend systems
- ✓Demonstrated ability to lead teams through technical planning and execution in ambiguous environments
- ✓Experience working with external partners and stakeholders
- ✓Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including AWS
- ✓Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to various audiences
