About the Role
We are looking for an API Platform Engineer to join Wise Platform (Wise for Enterprise) and help build the infrastructure that powers global payment solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable services and public-facing APIs for enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services.
- →Produce public-facing APIs for others to integrate with.
- →Collaborate with teams across Wise to deliver real impact and expand platform functionality.
- →Work closely with team members to solve complex problems.
- →Advocate best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- ✓Experience in designing and building public API platforms.
- ✓Strong understanding of Java with experience in Spring Boot.
- ✓Experience with microservices and event-driven design.
- ✓Worked with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- ✓Knowledge of relational databases, SQL query optimization, and schema design.
- ✓A strong product mindset and sense of ownership.
- ✓Great communication skills to drive projects across teams.
- ✓Able to work independently while being a good team player.
