Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Recruiter to support the full-cycle recruitment of attorneys and legal support staff across the firm. This role serves as a trusted partner to hiring managers, providing guidance on hiring strategy, market conditions, and candidate selection while ensuring a professional and efficient recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage full-cycle recruitment for attorneys, paralegals, case managers, legal assistants, and other support staff
β’ Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles
β’ Conduct in-depth interviews to assess legal expertise, practice-area experience, career progression, and cultural fit
β’ Review resumes, writing samples, bar status (where applicable), and other credentials to evaluate qualifications
β’ Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies using job boards, professional networks, referrals, and social media
β’ Guide candidates through the interview process while ensuring timely communication and an exceptional candidate experience
β’ Coordinate and schedule interviews, working collaboratively with candidates and internal stakeholders
β’ Lead offer development, negotiation, and closing strategies to secure top talent
β’ Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, firm leadership, and external recruiting partners
β’ Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal hiring requirements
β’ Track and manage requisitions through the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain accurate recruiting data
β’ Stay current on legal hiring trends, market conditions, compensation benchmarks, and competitor practices
β’ Represent the firm professionally and strengthen the firmβs employer brand within the legal community
β’ Perform other recruiting-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
β’ Minimum of 5 years of legal recruiting experience, with demonstrated success recruiting attorneys and legal support staff
β’ Prior experience recruiting in a law firm environment required
β’ Experience recruiting for a plaintiff personal injury firm is a major plus
β’ Strong interviewing skills with the ability to evaluate complex legal backgrounds and practice areas
β’ Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative skills
β’ Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment
β’ High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Physical Requirements:
β’ Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
β’ Stationary Position β Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
β’ Move or Traverse β This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
β’ Dexterity β constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
β’ Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
β’ Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
β’ Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
