About the Role
WorkWhile is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their mission-driven team. You'll help build and evolve frontend systems across multiple product areas, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and evolve frontend systems that span multiple product areas
- →Partner with engineering leadership, product, and design to shape frontend technical strategy
- →Lead high-impact initiatives such as architectural evolution and performance improvements
- →Establish and uphold frontend standards around component design, state management, accessibility, and testing
- →Act as a force multiplier for the team by guiding technical decisions and mentoring engineers
- →Help define how frontend engineering is practiced as the company grows
Requirements
- ✓Significant experience building and scaling frontend systems using JavaScript and React and/or React Native
- ✓A strong track record of owning complex UI systems or frontend platforms
- ✓Deep care for user experience, performance, and long-term maintainability
- ✓Ability to operate in ambiguity - defining problems, proposing solutions, and aligning stakeholders
- ✓Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams
- ✓Experience mentoring engineers and raising team-wide frontend quality
