About the Role
Zapier is seeking experienced engineers to join our Enterprise zone teams, focusing on backend, fullstack, and frontend development. These roles are critical for maintaining system resilience, building scalable architectures, and delivering innovative automation solutions for enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead responses to critical incidents and customer-impacting events
- →Work directly with enterprise customers to solve urgent problems
- →Build internal tools and improve core product features based on customer feedback
- →Design and implement scalable backend architecture and APIs for asset management
- →Embed AI technology into core product experiences
- →Drive technical alignment with senior leaders and stakeholders
- →Build a new extensible platform for account and organization-level settings
- →Create observability features like SLOs, alerts, and dashboards
Requirements
- ✓Proven SaaS engineering experience with complex mission-critical systems
- ✓Comfortable writing backend services (Python or Node.js preferred)
- ✓Experience with API design, database modeling, and CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Strong platform thinking and familiarity with event-driven systems
- ✓Experience with Kafka, SQS, Fastify, Datadog, Grafana, and Graylog
- ✓Ability to work through AI agents in daily development workflow
- ✓Strong communication skills in an async-first culture
- ✓Experience working close to enterprise customers
- ✓Ability to ship through ambiguity and undefined requirements
